Cement, kola and a town between two cities

Sagamu grew from thirteen Remo towns that joined together in the mid-1800s, and today it is the seat of the Remo Kingdom, whose ruler, the Akarigbo, keeps his palace at Offin. Limestone beneath the area feeds the town's cement industry. Farms around it produce cocoa and kola nuts, and Sagamu gathers more kola than anywhere else in Nigeria, which keeps basket weavers and rope makers busy too. Olabisi Onabanjo University also runs its medical college here. Remo, a dialect of Yoruba, is the everyday language.

Since the 1950s its growth has come from location, on the route linking Ibadan with Lagos.

That mix shapes what a website needs to do. Cement and building suppliers need clear product and delivery details for contractors. Kola and cocoa traders need buyers far away to trust them. Clinics, schools, hotels and shops need to be easy to find. We work with businesses in Sagamu over video calls, phone, email or WhatsApp.
