Privacy notice

This notice explains what information Eloti Designs collects through elotidesigns.com, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain words.

Who we are

Eloti Designs is a web design company, registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission, RC 2695625. We are a remote team. For anything about your information, email hello@elotidesigns.com.

What we collect

When you send the quote or contact form: your name, your WhatsApp number or email address, what you need, and what you tell us about your project. We also note the page you sent it from, the website that brought you to us, any campaign tags in the address you arrived on, which country or region of our website you were using, and the time.

To stop spam: we check how many requests come from one internet address. We keep only a scrambled form of the address, for no more than a day, and never with your message.

Counting how people contact us: when someone sends the quote form or chooses WhatsApp, email, a call or a video call, our website adds one to a count for that page and that country or region of our website, and counts switches between countries or regions the same way. The count uses no cookies and keeps nothing about you: no internet address and no browser details, only the totals.

If you accept analytics cookies: Google Analytics collects information about your visit, as described below.

We don't ask for payment details, and we don't buy or sell information about anyone.

How we use it

• To reply to you and prepare a quote for your project.
• To keep a record of what you asked for, so we can follow up on it.
• To keep the form free of spam.
• If you accept analytics cookies, to understand which parts of our website help visitors, so we can improve it.

We use your enquiry because you asked us to reply and, if you go ahead, to take steps towards an agreement with you. We use analytics only with your consent.

Analytics cookies

Google Analytics 4 is the only analytics service on our website, and its cookies are the only analytics cookies we use. Nothing loads until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, Google Analytics doesn't load and sets no cookies.

If you accept, Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages people use and how they found us. We have set it to keep this information for 14 months, after which Google deletes it. We use it only to understand and improve our website; we don't use it for advertising and don't share it with advertisers.

Changing your mind: choose "Cookie settings" at the foot of any page and pick Reject. Google Analytics stops at once and we remove its cookies from your browser. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings. Our cookie policy lists every cookie.

Who we share it with

• Our web host and email service, which store the website, your enquiry and the email we send ourselves about it.
• Cloudflare, which protects our website from attacks and helps it load quickly. It handles your internet address to do that. When you send the quote form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a program, is sending it, as described in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
• Google, for Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Some of these services process information outside your country, including in the United States. We use only established providers that protect it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: 24 months, after which they are deleted automatically. Analytics information: 14 months. Contact counts (totals only, nothing about you): 25 months. Spam checks: no more than a day.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@elotidesigns.com and we'll reply as soon as we can.

Depending on where you live, data protection law gives you these rights and others. In Nigeria that is the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023; in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018; in the European Economic Area, the GDPR; in Switzerland, the Federal Act on Data Protection; in Canada, PIPEDA; in Australia, the Privacy Act 1988; in the UAE, the Personal Data Protection Law; and in the United States, the privacy laws of your state. You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

If you are in Quebec

Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, also applies to the information you send us from Quebec. Your enquiry is stored on a server outside Quebec.

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to withdraw your consent and have it deleted.

Children

Our website is for businesses and organisations. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

If we change this notice, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
