Websites for Silicon Beach and the seafront

Brighton has drawn visitors since the Georgian era, when the Prince Regent built the Royal Pavilion, and the railway from 1841 brought day-trippers from London, 47 miles away. Tourism still counts for a lot: the city's visitor industry is worth £380m and supports 20,000 jobs, and 11.4 million tourists came in 2024.

Yet the economy is broader than the seafront. American Express has its European headquarters on John Street, while Lloyds Bank and Legal & General are big employers in the city too. Since the 1990s the city has been called Silicon Beach for its density of digital and new media firms, with Brandwatch and the Gamer Network among them. The Brighton Centre has hosted conferences since 1977, and thousands of companies are registered in the city.

Its many independent shops give the city real character, from the pedestrian streets of North Laine to the narrow alleys of the Lanes. We work with businesses in Brighton remotely, over video calls, email or WhatsApp, at times agreed around your working day.
