Scope and quoteKogi touches ten states, which puts transport, logistics and trade businesses within reach of much of Nigeria. A strong website lets customers in all those directions find you, trust you and get in touch.
Kogi shares a border with ten states, more than anywhere else in Nigeria. It was formed in 1991 from parts of Benue, Niger and Kwara, and its capital, Lokoja, sits where the Niger and Benue rivers join, which is why people call it the Confluence State. Among the 36 states, Kogi ranks thirteenth by area.
Lokoja has a long administrative history: it served as capital of the Northern Nigeria Protectorate until 1903. The state's people include the Ebira, Igala, Nupe, Bassa and Yoruba, and its twenty-one local government areas cover forest and savanna country. Christians and Muslims are present in roughly equal numbers, and the east was once the Igala Kingdom.
Farming leads the economy, with coffee, cashew, cocoa, groundnut, oil palm and yams. Transport and logistics are also key industries. Heavy industry is here too: the Ajaokuta Steel Company, a big iron and steel works, and the Obajana Cement Factory, which makes cement on a large scale. A website gives each of these businesses a way to reach clients well beyond the state, and to show them quickly why they should call you.
